Tides of March
March 30, 2026Tears was grown from Big Top
T ears come in many forms, of joy and of sorrow, pulled from opposite ends of the same emotional spectrum that guides us through what it means to be human.
Tears for innocence and for the children who will never know the freedom of a simple, unburdened childhood. Tears for the fallen, sent to fight wars shaped by power, ego, and distant decisions. Tears for the friends and family we’ve lost, not only to death, but to division, to false idols, and to narratives that fracture what once felt unbreakable. Tears for the quiet disappearance of adolescent adventure, for the analog days of presence, for a time when joy was not filtered, tracked, or monetized. Tears for those who built the world we now inhabit and for how quickly we have taken it for granted. Tears for the betrayal by leaders who serve themselves, by institutions that trade truth for profit, by systems that reward manipulation over integrity.
Tears for the blind, not those without sight, but those unwilling to see the cruelty, absurdity, and erosion unfolding before them. Tears for the suffocating weight of technology that connects us while isolating us, that informs us while distorting reality, that promises convenience while quietly reshaping control. Tears for truth, for justice, for a democracy strained under the pressure of corruption and indifference. Tears for humanity itself, as brutality becomes normalized and compassion feels like a fading signal.
And beneath it all, these tears remain, not just for what is lost, but for what I feel as I witness it.
