T aking psychedelics, living in virtual reality, going to Mars, and even death itself are ways we seek to escape the drudgery and anxiety of our mortal existence.

In the past, movies were sufficient enough to take us away. But as technology gives us more ways to escape, we (like any good addict) need more.

Now we crave the ultimate escape into a digital universe that will control our free will in exchange for comfort and stability. We humans feed off escapism. The transcendence revolution will ignite from new levels of toys and tech as the virtual and physical merge.
