A s we take in the realities around our changing climate, it seems many of us choose to internalize a convincing short-sighted case of denial. I don’t believe this is selfishness, but rather a deep ingrained coping mechanism.
We must not bow to the apathy of despair, but rather live through hope and deeper connections with each other. When we can physically sit with someone and discuss each other's basic hopes and fears about the future, we stand a better chance of making a difference.
